What the royal treatment represents at Mercury 16 Press
As a small press with a wide range of journalism and publishing backgrounds, Mercury 16 Press' main goal is to bring the Tudors to anyone in today's world. Cultures vary throughout the ages, and without past influences, the world would not be where it is today. The Tudors and the Elizabethan era are no exception, and the news flooded the streets like it does today. The connections between the past present, and future are so strong in journalism, because periodicals, such as newspapers and magazines, as well as books and journals offer us clues. Novels and fiction pieces are not nearly as effective when trying to open the eyes of present-day researchers, which is why Mercury 16 Press brings forth a combination of all of these mediums. The press offers printed versions of these past stories and articles, in addition to online versions, in order to offer everyone the same access to the past. Projects are always welcome and can usually be completed within a matter of months. The press runs the operation at a small company in Chicago. All of the editing, printing, binding, and online services are done on-site by the press team members: Grace Johnson, Emily Mulligan, Cayla Eagon, and Hannah Peterson.
